Have you ever wanted to see how I'd translate your character designs into my super-wacky style?! I bet you have! Or perhaps you've always wanted to see Aldus and Bird Guy holding hands and enjoying a walk in the park together...? <3 <3 <3

I'm in France and, it goes without saying, I want/need money, so I'm going to try my hand at being a hack and drawing things for cold, hard e-cash. After it has a chance to sit on friend-lists for a bit, I'm going to leave this post at the top of my journal until I get overwhelmed with work (September or October?). I think it'll be a good way to motivate myself to draw more, too, in preparation for future (short) comic projects.

CURRENTLY I HAVE NOTHING TO DRAW; DEMAND PICTURES :O

If you, for whatever reason, want me to draw something for you, either reply to this post or send me an e-mail (quasi_artist[at]hotmail[dot]com) with a description of what you'd like done. Be sure to let me know if there's a particular style you want it done in (e.g. the style I'd use for Aldus versus the wackier anatomy of my jam comics and fanart pieces). I will draw something up for you within a week of negotiating the price, send you a thumbnail of the roughs for approval, and later, a thumbnail of the final piece. If you approve of everything, I get paid, you get a drawing, and everyone is happy! If you're especially happy, you might even pass my name on to someone else... :3

Important edit! Be sure to let me know if you're planning on printing the image so that I can switch to an appropriate DPI!

In the event that I end up with more than four requests at a given time, I will establish some sort of queue, I suppose; the point is that if your name is on the list, I will get my act together and make sure that you don't wait more than a week for your commissioned piece.

Here are some basic rates -- note that this is all in Canadian dollars, which means that most of you are going to be saving some money... haha... ha.


Sketch (no under-work showing, but not inked, no colour, etc.): $5
Basic inked drawing, with flat colours if requested: $10
Inked, coloured and shaded, minimalist background if desired: $15

I do avatars, too! Prices to be negotiated depending on the complexity.

I am also open to drawing comic pages if you have a script you're dying to see drawn out, although I'm not interested in being roped into a long-term project at the moment. I don't expect anyone to take me up on this offer, but prices would be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.

I'm assuming that if I get any commissions, most will be along the lines of character art, so backgrounds will generally be nonexistent, or very minimal. For drawings with more detailed backgrounds, I'll add a charge of $5 to $15, depending on the complexity. (I mean, I'm not going to throw in a cityscape done in proper perspective for five dollars...)


Also. I reserve the right to refuse to draw things that are NSFW or otherwise messed-up, but that kind of goes without saying.
